| Vision The world around us is changing constantly, in terms of technology, markets, and social conditions. In relation to our discipline of embedded technology, we can see that, in our daily lives, we are surrounded by more and more embedded applications. At the same time, these applications are becoming ever smaller and more complex, with communication between applications growing more intensive. This development is also called ‘pervasive computing’. Advanced and often new design methods are required to design all of these new applications. The complexity of the new applications also causes the areas of expertise within which the design process occurs to broaden continuously, which means that multidisciplinary design teams and collaboration with partners are necessary. To keep up with technological developments, intensive collaboration with universities and research institutes is vital. The people of our innovation team are active in all of these fields. Where relevant, the results of research, contacts, knowledge and experience are communicated to the four Chess Business Lines. The teams also support projects of the Business Lines that are of an innovative nature. Research Chess examine mainly in collaboration with its partners. So there are among studies in the areas of: -
Design Methods -
Energy efficient design and energy -
Wireless sensor networks and protocols -
Security - Cashless transactions
The innovation team initiates, and participates in, research projects. These projects focus on acquiring new technologies and expertise that will be important to the Business Lines in the near future. To this end, we collaborate (internationally) with other companies, institutes, universities and colleges. Partners Chess combines continuous innovation with intensive cooperation with universities and high schools. For example, Chess takes part in several research projects with partners from industry and academia. Chess also works in DevLab together with industrial partners into two research programs. | | | | | | | | | |
